Finance
Track receivables, payables, cash flow, and P&L
Set up financial accounts, record money actually received or paid, and review cash flow and profit reports.
Receivables show what customers owe; payables show what your business owes. Recording a payment is a separate step from creating the receivable or payable. Keep the amount, method, date, and financial account accurate.
- In Finance → Accounts, create or review the bank or cash account where you will record receipts and payments.
- Open Finance → Receivables. Find the installment linked to a rental or select Record income for a separate receivable.
- After you collect a customer payment outside FacilRental, choose Receive, enter the amount, actual payment date, method, and receiving account in Record payment, then confirm. The installment can remain partly outstanding.
- Open Finance → Payables to review due expenses or select Record expense. Once you pay an expense outside FacilRental, choose Pay and confirm the actual method, date, and source account.
- Open Finance → Cash flow to compare incoming and outgoing amounts by period. Review projected entries separately from confirmed transactions.
- Open Reports → Profit and loss report for an income and expense view, and check its selected period and reporting basis with your accountant.
Note: FacilRental does not process the rental customer's card, ACH transfer, check, or cash. It records payments you collected elsewhere. A quote, return, or generated receivable is not proof of payment. P&L is a management report; its accounting treatment and any sales tax or deposit classification need your accountant's review.
